How to Cook Food Using an Air Fryer?

  1. Always preheat your Air fryer before adding your food.
  2. To achieve a crisp texture without adding too much fat, simply spray food with oil or brush with butter.
  3. If needed, always use an accessory pan that can fit inside your Air fryer basket.
  4. Create a sling out of aluminum foil so that you can easily remove the pan from the air fryer basket after cooking.
  5. When cooking fries, give the basket a shake halfway through cooking to brown and crisp them evenly. Same goes for burgers, fritters, and the like turn them once or twice for even browning.
  6. When cooking fatty foods, it is best to add some water to the air fryer drawer to prevent oil from smoking or burning.
  7. Don’t put too much food in the Air fryer basket. Overcrowding or overloading will prevent the food from cooking evenly. Hence, will only prolong the cooking time.
  8. Don’t put too much oil to your food and also avoid using cold-pressed oil as it burns easily in high temperature.

How to Clean Your Air Fryer Heater Properly?

  1. After using, let your air frying machine to cool down.
  2. Open your Air fryer drawer of your Air Fryer and take out the basket and the pan.
  3. Turn your Air fryer in an upside down position.
  4. In a spray bottle, make a cleaning solution by mixing 100 ml of water with 3 g of baking powder.
  5. Spray the cleaning solution onto the accumulated dirt around the Air fryer heater. Let stand for about a minute. Put your Air fryer back to its upright position. Let sit for 30 minutes. Do this step twice.
  6. Meanwhile, clean the basket and the pan.
  7. Once ready, put the pan and the basket back into the Air Fryer.
  8. Add 400 ml of water into the pan to gather dirt emanating from the top part of your Air fryer.
  9. Set the Air fryer at 200˚C for 20 minutes.
  10. Open the Air fryer drawer, take out the basket and the pan. Then, allow the Air fryer cool.
  11. Turn your Air fryer in an upside down position again.
  12. Using a soft, clean kitchen towel, wipe off any baking powder residue or dirt from your Air fryer heater gently. Alternatively, you can use a small brush or cleaning sponge. Don’t use a steel brush to clean the parts of your Air fryer
  13. Return to an upright position.
  14. Place your Air fryer on a clean countertop.

How to Prevent Foul Odor When Using Your Air Fryer?

  1. Don’t add too much oil when cooking food and always cook in batches if necessary. A tablespoon of oil or less is enough.
  2. Don’t let food that accumulated in the pan or basket stay for longer period. It can cause bacteria and other pathogens to develop which can result in food contamination.
  3. Clean and dry all parts of your Air Fryer every after use.
  4. You can use a cleaning solution (made with water and baking soda) and add a few drops of lemon juice to help in eliminating the odor.

Proper Care and Maintenance

  1. Avoid putting your air fryer on a stovetop.
  2. Do not put your air fryer on a surface that is not heat resistant.
  3. Do not fill the frying pan with oil or any other liquid.
  4. Do not touch the pan while cooking and immediately after use, as it can get extremely hot. Just hold the pan by its heat resistant handle.
  5. Always unplug the power cord and leave the air frying machine to cool before you start cleaning.
  6. After using the air fryer, give it some time to cool down.
  7. Clean the surface of the air fryer drawer and tray with a non-abrasive sponge and mild dishwashing soap. Avoid using a hard wire for cleaning because it can damage the surface.
  8. Get a clean wet towel to wipe the housing of the air fryer. Do not use harsh liquids for cleaning purposes.
  9. Do not place the power cord or the entire air frying machine directly into the water.
  10. If you think, you won’t be using your air fryer for a long time, clean it thoroughly, and then store in a cool and dry place.
