Air Fryer Feta Cheese Tandoori

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. (450 g) feta cheese, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes

  • 2 tablespoons (7 g) finely chopped fresh coriander leaves

  • 8 wooden skewers

  • For the Marinade:

  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) roasted and ground cumin seeds

  • 1 ½ cup (375 g) plain yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) ginger paste

  • 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 g) black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon (0.5 g) cumin powder

  • 3/4 cup (75 g) besan

  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil

  • 4 saffron strands, dissolved in 1 tablespoon of milk

  • salt, to taste

Method

  • 1. Combine the marinade ingredients in a non-reactive bowl.
  • 2. Add in the feta cheese cubes and toss to coat everything with marinade. Let sit for 30 minutes.
  • 3. Place the marinated feta cubes in the basket of your Air Fryer, in a single layer if possible. Set your Air Fryer to 400 F and 15 minutes for time. Shake halfway through cooking time for even browning. Remove the Air Fryer basket and let cool. Thread into wooden skewers.
  • 4. Place into a serving dish. Sprinkle with a bit of chaat masala.
  • 5. Serve right away with minted yogurt and chutney, if desired.
  • 6. Enjoy!
