Apple Cinnamon Crumble with Almond

Ingredients

  • For the Stewed Apples:

  • 1 1/2 lbs. (675 g) apples, peeled, halved and cored

  • 1 cup (250 ml) water

  • 1/3 cup (75 g) brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon (2 g) ground cinnamon

  • For the Crumble:

  • 4 oz. (120 g) cold grass-fed butter

  • 4 oz. (120 g) flour

  • 3 oz. (85 g) ground almonds

  • 3 oz. (85 g) oats

  • 1/3 cup (75 g) brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon (2 g) cinnamon powder

Method

  • 1. Preheat your Air Fryer to 360 F (180 C).
  • 2. Cut the apples into small pieces.
  • 3. In a large saucepan, heat 3/4 cup of water and bring to a simmer. Add the apple chunks, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook, stirring for about 10 minutes or until apples are softened and sauce has become thick. Set aside.
  • 4. In a food processor, process all ingredients for the crumble until combined well and the texture turns crumbly.
  • 5. Place the stewed apples into a baking dish that can fit into the Air Fryer cooking basket. Then, top apples with crumble mixture. Cook for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool.
  • 6. Divide among individual bowls.
  • 7. Serve and enjoy.
