Air Fried Tofu with Peanut Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. (450 g) firm tofu, cubed

  • 1-1/2 cup (185 g) all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 g) kosher salt or Himalayan salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) freshly ground black pepper

  • olive oil spray

  • For the Dipping Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup (60 g) smooth low-sodium peanut butter

  • 1 teaspoon (10 g) garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) light soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh lime juice

  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup (85 ml) water

  • 2 tablespoons (20 g) chopped roasted peanuts

Method

  • 1. Prepare the dipping sauce by mixing all the ingredients together in a small bowl. Cover it with plastic wrap and keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
  • 2. To make the fried tofu, season all-purpose flour with salt and pepper.
  • 3. Coat the tofu cubes with the flour mixture. Spray with oil.
  • 4. Preheat your Air Fryer to 390 F (180 C).
  • 5. Place coated tofu in the cooking basket. Careful not to overcrowd them.
  • 6. Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 7. Serve with prepared peanut dipping sauce.
  • 8. Enjoy.
