Grilled Caprese Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 8 (1 oz. or 28 g) slices whole wheat bread

  • 4 (2 oz. or 56 g) slices mozzarella cheese

  • 8 (15 g) slices tomato

  • 1 cup (30 g) fresh basil leaves

  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method

  • 1. Top four bread slices with cheese, tomato slices, and basil leaves. Season with pepper to taste. Cover with remaining bread slices.
  • 2. Preheat Air Fryer to 180 C (360 F).
  • 3. Place sandwiches inside the Air Fryer cooking basket and then cook for 7-10 minutes or until bread turns golden brown.
  • 4. Serve and enjoy
